Some of you will recognize this and those who do may also know that in certain parts of the country is an invasive species. When I first saw these blooms I was thinking it was something else entirely but then looked at the leaves and realized it is one that I do not recognize. This is the Bradford Pear and apparently they are aggressive trees that can quickly crowd out native species. These trees are poorly formed trees with many limbs originating from a central location. This characteristic creates a weak spot in the tree making them susceptible to storm damage and greatly reduces the potential life span of the trees. Enjoy.
